Hi my friends and how is your New Year starting out so far?

One of the things I always do around the new year is remind myself that it is SO easy to make some of the staple ingredients I need to have around all year long.

Taco spices.  Butter (no churn required!).  Peanut butter.  Creamy, dreamy ricotta cheese. Applesauce

I could go on and on, but I’ll just say I have rounded up ten of my favorite staple recipes for you, and all of them are super easy.  No special equipment required – just you and your regular old kitchen.

Oh, and you also get the satisfaction of saying “Do you want mayo with that?  I just made some fresh this morning.”

In completely unrelated news, next I am going on my first vacation since you-know-what started, with this group of characters.

Yep, just my mama and her four chickadees…I don’t think we have done this all together since we were kiddos.  So if you only hear from me once in a while over the next couple of weeks, that’s why!
