Why we love this recipe ❤️

OH THIS FUDGE. I love a nice square of plain old chocolate fudge any day of the week, but there is something about adding peppermint to the mix that takes this fudge over the top into Fudge Heaven.

This is obviously the perfect perfect treat to make over the winter holidays, but honestly? Who wouldn’t love a piece of pepperminty fudge any day of the year?

This fudge takes only six ingredients and the two hardest parts of this recipe are unwrapping the peppermint candies and waiting the three loooooooong hours for the fudge to harden up in your fridge.

Ready to enter a chocolate peppermint wonderland? Let’s make it!

    Ingredients you need 🍫

    Peppermint Fudge Ingredients.

    Ingredient notes and substitutions 📝

    • Marshmallows: You can use the regular size ones (use 4 cups to make up for the size difference) but we HIGHLY recommend the mini version…they melt so much faster.
    • Chocolate Chips: You can use regular or mini-sized, and if you prefer milk chocolate or dark chocolate then go for it!
    • Peppermint Candies: I stock up on these in December (aka Peppermint Season) because they can be hard to find in the non-holiday months). Look for them in the candy aisle and/or in the holiday aisle.
    • Cream: Yes, you have to use heavy cream (also known as whipping cream) for the right consistency of our fantabulous fudge.

See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities and nutritional information.

    Recipe FAQs 🧐

Can I use regular size marshmallows?

You can, but they are going to take a lot longer to melt, so we very much recommend the mini size.

Can this recipe be made ahead of time?

Yes yes yes! It will be good for at least a week. We like to store our fudge in the fridge (behind a container of vegetables so nobody else can see it 😜) but it will also be fine at room temperature.
