This crowd-pleasing recipe for honey fried chicken tenders adds a sweet drizzle of honey for a finger licking good supper!

I think it’s pretty safe to say that here in our house, NOBODY has met a chicken tender that we didn’t like.
I mean, what’s not to like? Tender pieces of boneless chicken, covered in some kind of delectable coating, fried to crispy perfection and the perfect size to pick up and nibble on.
So we are experimenting with ALL the ways to get our chicken tenders groove on, and in this case the star ingredient is sweet and wonderful honey, both in the batter and drizzled on top.
My taste testers were super excited about this one.
Even though some potential taste testers still ended up with chicken-flavored kibble. Despite off the charts adorableness.
One of the great things about going the chicken tender road when you are making fried chicken is not only the delectable taste, but it also takes half the time because you are cooking with boneless chicken, which cooks up much faster.
Yep, this is one of those recipes where you can pretty much count on getting dinner ready in just about half an hour, and since your lucky diners are going to want their honey fried chicken tenders as soon as humanly possible, this works out for everyone!
TIPS FOR MAKING HONEY FRIED CHICKEN TENDERS!
Chicken tenders are white meat from the chicken that comes from right below the chicken breast. They are the same taste and tenderness as breast meat…it’s really only the shape that is different. So go ahead and use regular chicken breasts if that’s what you have…just cut it into roughly 1 inch by 4 inch strips.
Yep! Just make sure they are skinless and boneless, and that you cut them into roughly chicken tender size – about 1 inch by 4 inches.
Make sure your oil is nice and hot before you put them in the pan (add a pinch of flour and make sure it sizzles) and MOST importantly, don’t crowd the pan – the tenders need some space to get maximum crispiness! Do them in batches if you need to.
I know, yuck! Don’t pour it down the drain. Let it cool completely, and then pour it through a funnel into an empty, sealable bottle like a milk container or a take-out box (do this over the sink just in case there are dribbles). Then close up the container and toss.
If by chance you have any of your delectable chicken tenders left over (or if you want to make extra to be sure you have leftovers) I am here to tell you that there is nothing like a cold leftover chicken tender to make your lunchtime a happy, happy thing.
Almost as happy as knowing that honey fried chicken tenders are on the dinner menu tonight.
Cook some up for your honey today! :)

Yes! The people in my house also love anything chicken tenders. I do an oven-fried version of this that is pretty similar. Only difference is I also add in some corn meal to the flour and bread crumbs mix; about the same amount as the flour. It just gives another level of “crunch”. I’m sure the Southern Husband would approve of the addition. :)
Oh yes, he definitely would – he is a big fan of cornmeal on just about anything (hello cornmeal-crusted bacon!) – happy Monday, my friend!
