Move over cake pops! The savory cheese ball pops are in town, complete with edible pretzel sticks, in this fast and fun recipe!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 4 ounces blue cheese, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • Freshly ground pepper (about a teaspoon)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • Thin pretzel sticks

Instructions

  1. Mash cream cheese and blue cheese together. Taste and add more blue cheese if you want it blue-cheesier!
  2. Mix in chives and pepper.
  3. Wet hands with water and roll into 1 inch balls. Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight.
  4. When ready to serve, roll in walnuts, pressing a little so they adhere. Insert pretzel sticks into the center of each ball (don’t do this part ahead or the pretzels will get soggy) place on a pretty platter and serve!

Notes

Cream Cheese: You can use any kind you like, or you can swap in a cheese of similar consistency (like Boursin or goat cheese. ????

Walnuts: If you are having guests who can’t do nuts, you can roll them in just herbs.
