Say cheers to summertime with this easy recipe for a peach margarita. Welcome to your new favorite warm weather cocktail – make sure you mix up enough of them to share, because folks will definitely want a second round!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 ripe peach (you can peel it or leave the peel on, your choice!), cut into chunks
  • 2 sprigs mint
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Put peach chunks, 1 sprig of mint, the lemon juice and the simple syrup in a blender and process until well blended.  Pour mixture into a cocktail shaker (a mason jar with a lid also works!).
  2. Add the tequila and some ice, put the lid on the shaker or your jar and shake shake shake.  Shake one more time for good luck.
  3. Pour the contents into your favorite glass, garnish with that other mint sprig and say cheers!

Notes

  • Peaches: During peach season you want to get the ones from your local farm stand if you can, but I’ve also made these with frozen peaches and it’s been almost as good.
  • Simple Syrup: This is simply (ha!) sugar dissolved in water, and I use my friend Ree’s recipe for simple syrup to make my own. You can also find it premade for you near the other mixers wherever you procure your tequila. 😎
  • Mint: You can find this in fresh produce section of your grocery store. It’s the secret ingredient that makes this margarita so fabulous!
  • Lemon Juice: I always use fresh, but in a pinch bottled lemon juice will work.
