1 pound tuna steak (sushi grade if you can get it!)
4 tablespoons canola oil
Sesame seeds for garnish
Chopped scallions for garnish
Instructions
Combine soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, salt and pepper in a zippered plastic bag. Add tuna steak and marinate for 3 hours and up to overnight.
Make the sauce by stirring together the mayo and the Sriracha sauce.
When you are ready to cook, add the canola oil to a skillet (a cast iron skillet is perfect for this) and heat over high heat until the oil is smoking hot. Add the tuna steak and sear for 1-2 minutes per side for rare, or longer if you like your tuna more well done.
Remove tuna, slice and serve drizzled with the sauce.
