This easy recipe for a ham and Brie sandwich takes the humble ham and cheese lunch to new heights with the combo of ham, creamy Brie, sweet apple and jam!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons of raspberry jam (or jelly, or preserves, or sweet chutney)
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 ounces thinly sliced ham
  • 2 ounces sliced Brie cheese
  • 4 thin slices of a Granny Smith apple

Instructions

  1. Spread the jam on bread slices.
  2. Layer ham, cheese and apple on bread, top with second piece of bread, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Bread: We love a sturdy sourdough or ciabatta bread for this sandwich but whatever bread you love will work fine.
  • Ham: We splurge on ham from the deli counter for this, sliced as finely as they can do it. You can use regular ham or one of the flavored versions (honey ham, we love you!)
  • Jam: Raspberry is our fave, but strawberry, apricot, peach…so many possibilities! And use any leftovers for Jam Cake.
  • Apples: We like a tart Granny Smith to balance the sweet jam but again, any apple you have on hand will work.
