  • Method: No Cook
  • Cuisine: American
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 small loaf of French bread cut into 1/4 inch slices
  • 1 jar of fig jam (peach and apricot jam work wonderfully too!)
  • 1 wedge of Brie or Camembert cheese, room temperature
  • 1 small bunch of fresh thyme or oregano (optional!)

Instructions

  1. Spread each bread slice with a generous spoonful of jam.  Top with a slather of cheese.
  2. Sprinkle with thyme leaves (optional!) and arrange on a pretty platter.  You’re done!

Notes

Bread: We love a nice French baguette for this recipe, but a plain cracker like melba toast will also work just fine.

Jam: Obviously we adore fig jam best for this recipe, but peach or apricot will also taste delicious, especially if you are adding this to a summer menu.

Herbs: Freshly chopped thyme or oregano is heavenly on these cheese bites…it’s not required, but gives a little extra flavor.
