Here we are in the midst of the annual pumpkin spice hurricane and I am HERE for it, but I’m also here for pumpkin’s best friend, the scrumptious butternut squash!
Both of these fall veggies are good and good for you, and so easy to work into all kinds of meals.
For the pumpkin recipes, I usually go directly for the canned kind (make sure you grab the can that says pumpkin and not the one that is pumpkin pie filling. They are very similar). If you want to try creating your own pumpkin puree, here’s a handy guide.
For butternut I go for the fresh butternuts in the produce section. Depending upon what recipe you are making you can either peel your own, or you can usually find peeled and cut up chunks in the supermarket as well.
