Cool off in style with this easy, fruit-filled recipe for orange raspberry sangria!  It’s the perfect treat for a warm summer’s day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 ½ cups white wine (see note)
  • 1/8 cup white rum
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • ½ cup fresh raspberries
  • Mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Stir until the sugar has dissolved.  Pour into a small jar or measuring cup and pop into the fridge until cooled.  You’ve just made simple syrup!
  2. Pour the simple syrup, wine, rum and orange juice into a pitcher.
  3. Set aside 6 raspberries and divide the rest between two glasses. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, smoosh them up.
  4. Fill glasses half full of ice and pour in the sangria. Divide the remaining raspberries between glasses and stir gently.  Garnish with mint sprigs and serve!

Notes

We like a sweet white wine for this cocktail – our favorite is Reisling – but you can use any white wine that you like!
