Chili dogs plus a little cheese turn into one of the world’s easiest suppers. Try this easy recipe for chili dog casserole tonight!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups chili (or one 15 ounce can of prepared chili, if you want to totally throw caution to the wind)
  • 6 hot dogs
  • 6 flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425.
  2. Spread 1 cup of chili in the bottom of a casserole dish.
  3. Roll up each hot dog in a tortilla and place seam side down on the chili.
  4. Pour the remaining chili over the row of hot dogs.
  5. Scatter the cheese over the whole thing.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.  Serve immediately.

Notes

    • Chili: We have made this recipe with both canned chili (I like the kind with no beans, but the bean kind is just fine) and with leftover chili (YUM.) Whatever your favorite chili is…that’s the kind to use!

    • Hot Dogs: Again, use your fave. We like all beef hot dogs in our house, but you can use any kind you like. Yay for flexibility!

    • Tortillas: We find that 6 inch flour tortillas are the best size and texture for this recipe.
