When I need a sure fire, never going to fail supper recipe, whether it’s for a fancy dinner party or simply because I Need Dinner To Come Out Right, I will often head right to the refrigerated pasta section of the supermarket.

There I can find fresh ravioli to top with a homemade sauce, pillowy gnocchi to saute up with veggies…and in the case of this bacon Alfredo pasta recipe, adorable little cheese-stuffed tortellini.

I’m not gonna lie to you – what with the bacon and the cream and the cheese this dinner delight is as rich as it is delectable, so I like to serve a modest portion (believe me, you will be blissfully full!) have a nice light salad or veggie on the side.

Ingredients You’ll Need To Make Bacon Tortellini Alfredo!

  • Bacon
  • Fresh cheese tortellini
  • Heavy cream
  • Butter
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Parsley

Got all the fixings? Let’s make it!

Here’s How To Make Bacon Tortellini Alfredo!

STEP ONE: Cook a half pound of chopped bacon slices in a large skillet until crispy.  Scoop out the bacon with a slotted spoon, leaving the drippings in the pan.

STEP TWO: Cook 12 ounces of refrigerated cheese tortellini in salted boiling water according to package directions (usually about 3 minutes).  Drain and set aside.

STEP THREE: Add a cup of cream and 3 tablespoons of butter to the skillet with the bacon drippings.  Bring to a simmer and stir until the butter is melted and the cream is just bubbling.

STEP FOUR: Stir in one cup of grated Parmesan cheese.

STEP FIVE: Add the cooked tortellini, the cooked bacon and a half cup or so of chopped parsley to the skillet.  Gently mix together with tongs, and then serve it up!

More Tips For Making Bacon Tortellini Alfredo!

Can I use dried tortellini for this recipe?

Technically yes, but my heart is saying please use the fresh stuff. It’s usually in the refrigerated section of your supermarket, and it makes ALL the difference!

Can I make this ahead of time?

This recipe really needs to be made right before you serve it to be at its freshest and creamiest…but it’s ready in less than 30 minutes, so all good!

Can I use a different kind of bacon?

We love thick cut bacon for this but any kind of bacon (including turkey bacon) will work just fine!

Not only is this a dinner-party-worthy supper, it’s also speedy enough that you will have all the time you want with your lucky guests.

Or you can treat yourself on a random Thursday night. You know you deserve it!
